I am cold, I have been cold all weekend.
Freezing my toes off at football, miserable dog walks and very speedy trips to the bins.
Looks like that sneaky bit of Spring was a tease and Winter is still here. What can you do?
Light candles, get cosy with plenty of cups of tea, buy some flowers and read recipe books on the sofa.
Oh go on then! :)

Heart Melter
For starters i would like to say thank you so much for all of your lovely comments on my last post, it's good to be back!
Anyway, down to business.....
Reykjavik is a fantastic city, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. It is beautiful, original and very uncomplicated which is refreshing. Public transport is simple to use and we were able to book excursions from our hotel. We took a Northern Lights tour which did not disappoint!
When I first met my husband we went to Tromso in Norway and saw the lights for the first time.
It was perfect. We sat under blankets in the snow while a fire burned in the traditional tent thingy nearby. We could pop in there for coffee and a warm up anytime. The lights appeared in the sky, green and slowly undulating.
This time it was a bit more commercial as we were on a coach with lots of others and we drove to a roadside spot away from the city light pollution. Despite the surroundings not being so idyllic, the light were more spectacular this time. A giant curtain of green swept across the sky and then magically turned to purple. They moved so fast, they really did dance. I will never forget that night.
One day I am going to see them again but with Maisy and Soren too. As some of you may know, I am divorced from their Dad so they spent half term with him. This means that me and my husband are able to have some time for just us, which is really very nice!
It's not easy, we miss each other and sometimes the nights before we are going to be apart are tearful and difficult. This time my boy slipped this note in my case and it nearly broke my heart.
Sometimes they really surprise you with their sensitivity, don't they?

Little Holiday
Hello there!
I have been away for a bit but am stopping by to say Hi and thank you for the lovely messages.
You are very kind, thoughtful and genuine people.
Anyway, as well as a blogging break, I have just returned from a trip to Reykjavik.
I wanted to show you a few pics from this beautiful place.
Doing this might help me get into the swing of things again :)
