Just In Time

Sometimes I find it tricky to make a picture I actually like when the details are so specific but I am really pleased with this one. I am just off out into the rain to deliver it. I hope she likes it!!

Weekend

Sunday night already!

This weekend has whizzed by and I am feeling a little frazzled. The fair went ok, it was very quiet though which was disappointing. I did make a profit but felt a bit fed up about making all that stuff and then bringing so much of it home again. Oh well.

Our little night away cheered me up. We had a lovely walk on the sea front before we looked back and saw how black the sky had become! Morten enjoyed our night in the flat although he had us awake at 2am and then at 6am. He was trotting around and his claws made an annoying tapping noise on the Lino.

After another beachy walk this morning, it was back home to get on with my painting for the family picture. Another busy, busy week ahead and I seem to have ANOTHER cold! Either that or the one that hadn't quite gone yet has reactivated. FED UP!

All Set

I have just finished adding labels to the paper carrier bags for the fair tomorrow. I don't think it will be very busy, the weather is shocking!

I will be at school to set up my stall very early as I have promised to help the PTA making sandwiches to sell in the cafe. As soon as I get home Jamie and I are driving to the seaside (I know this might seem strange with the current climate) to have a walk on the beach followed by a cosy night in his Mum's flat. We have packed a selection of Woody Allen flicks and the flat is above a fish and chip shop so that will be us sorted!

Here is what has been filling my time!

The rehearsals for the school production are well under way. I have been watching as I paint and it is already fantastic. Maisy is loving it and can't wait to perform for us. She is normally quite shy and quiet but this is bringing out the best in her. It is lovely to see her so happy.

Cutting and Sticking

It's been a 12 hour day involving scissors and glue (and a bit of paint)!

Things are a bit manic all of a sudden. I haven't made enough stock to sell at the fair next Saturday so I frantically making more mini bunting and finishing off my brooches. This in itself would not be a problem if another few jobs didn't need finishing at the same time!

Remember the picture I did last week? A friend of the lady I made it for saw it and wants one for her anniversary next week! This is really great I know, I'm just feeling the pressure. (this picture requires 2 adults, 4 children, a dog, a cat and a guinea pig) Eeek!!!

I also need to complete the main part of the scenery at school this week so i got a head start by painting the mushrooms for the forest floor. I shall try to remember my camera when I go tomorrow!

Bed now I think :)
