Bugs

I have been painting more leaves, bees and ants for the school display. I cut out hundreds of leaves but still have to laminate them as they will be in the entrance of school and need to be durable. Why is laminating so painfully slow!

I love my Ikea tins. I never noticed how they match my old Habitat mug. I am hoping to go and pick up a few things at Ikea tomorrow. On my list is a frame for my lion print, throws and the obligatory bag of tea lights!

(I did give Morten a biscuit!)

Yellow

Today seems to have had a yellow theme! The sun shone for a few hours inbetween heavy showers so we ventured outside. I was also working on my lion picture which I am happy with at last!

My diet continued with a boring rice cake lunch and then I started to paint butterflies for a summer display at school.

My boy has karate tonight. He looks cute in his outfit. ( I'm sure it has a proper name!)

Birthday Boy

Today we have celebrated Jamie's birthday. Maisy and Soren printed their own wrapping paper for his present with a stamp set I bought in Vancouver last year. We went for a walk this morning and then I cooked a roast chicken dinner followed by Nigella Lawson's Custard Sponge cake.

Later they played outside while I did the ironing. Maisy starts her exams in the morning so she had cuddles with Morten and then off to bed to get a good nights sleep!

To end the day Jamie and I watched the next episode of The Killing. Jamie was given the box set at Christmas and we have only just got round to watching it but I am hooked! Who is the killer??? (please don't tell me, we are only on episode 5!)

Birthday Baking

Lovely baking for my lovely husband, a game of football with a giant tennis ball and an outdoor tea for Morten!

Walkies

Jamie, Morten and I went for a lovely walk this afternoon. We needed to tire Morten out before we went into Manchester for a meal and a trip to the theatre.

It is cold again here and it kept raining but the ducklings seemed to like it! They followed us along the side of the footpath hoping we had food. Sadly we didn't so we might go again on Sunday with the children and remember to take some.

We are home from our night out now, and Morten is happy to see us. I always leave him some treats to eat while we are out but he always saves them till we return! Funny dog.

Making a mess

Still not progressed very far today. All I did was mess about photographing and photocopying biscuits. I only ate half of one and gave the rest to Morten as a treat.

It is Jamie's (my husband) birthday this weekend so painted some candles for an idea I have had.

Now I'm cooking a healthy meal to try and give me some brain power but it's getting messy as I need a bigger pan (or need to cook less?)

Sweet

I LOVE biscuits. I could eat them all day with countless cups of tea. I photographed some and gave them faces, arms and legs which was fun but didn't help my diet.

I made a new bear brooch and a little koala friend but haven't been able to do much else. Some days things just don't go right and my desk becomes a frustrating place to be. Tomorrow I shall try to be more positive. Tonight though is time for Morten cuddles.
