A Jumble of a Week

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted for a bit, I don't seem to have had a great deal to say or to show you lately.

Inbetween being the referee for children's squabbles, trying to keep on top of the housework, running errands (new footy boots, new keys cut, doctors appointments, etc) and having a crisis of confidence work wise; there seems to have been little of interest to blog about.

Anyway, over the lady few days I have cobbled together a mish mash that includes dog walks and a yummy tea of sweet potatoes roasted with honey. I made this tonight because I feel a bit cheerier! (this week food has been dull, mostly consisting of pasta or something out of a tin!)

*Apology*
Sorry if it seems like I'm always moaning and feeling down. Those of you that have complicated families know how things can be sometimes. Also I think I could do with being more easy going...... :)

  1. No need to apologise for not always feeling on top of the World - hope things settle down. On the photo front love the mug shot - not a photo of a criminal but the one of the mug! The doggy one of course is my favourite.
    Take care,
    June

    1. I am a bit obsessed with mugs! It was just a cheapo IKEA one that I treated myself to. I love tea and I love mugs! Morten says hello to your two :) x

  2. Hello! Thanks for you nice comment on my blog earlier! I have had a few days where I've felt a bit hopeless about things but I'm trying to be positive and think of it as an opportunity to do something i really want to do.(and i do have the odd break to watch things like 'don't tell the bride' too, though don't tell anyone that! ;)

    1. I won't tell a soul! Lots of luck job hunting and enjoy guilty telly in the meantime! We love Morten so much and he has the funniest character. Definitely a human in a dog suit :) he is a bit of a grump but I would recommend his breed because he is really into being cuddled! X

  5. Your photos are great, your work is too! I also have a complicated family, having an Extra Special Girl can be very challenging! I breathe slowly and calmly and remind myself my complicated family is a gift, sometimes this helps, sometimes it doesn't! If it doesn't I just get Crafty! Ada :)

    1. Thanks Ada. I am going to try to do just that, get busy doing what I like instead of dwelling on things too much! X

  6. Oh Morten, those eyes!

We all understand that sometimes when life is dishing out lemons we don't have the ingredients for making lemonade. And aren't blogs meant for sharing, the downs as well as the ups :)

  8. No need to apologise at all and I think your work is brilliant. Great flower pics.
So sorry you couldn't email, wonder why that is, did you use the contact button on my blog? Will look at it and make sure it's the correct address. And no worries about asking me at all. I got the big and little boxes just from local shop, lady did look at me slightly odd though and asked if I intended on starting lots of fires! The big ones were cooks matches ( bit expensive though ) I'm sure you must be able to get plain ones especially for crafting somewhere that are cheaper too, maybe EBay?
Hope you have a great weekend. xx

  9. Just had a quick peek on EBay, have some plain craft matchboxes on there which are die cut - much cheaper than buying matches! xx

    1. Thank you! The big cooks match boxes are really nice, just something about them. I have just re read that statement and have decided I have lost the plot. Oh well! :) xx

  10. hello, just hopped over from the linen cloud, the photos are cheerful. I know what you mean about food, even baked beans feels difficult at the moment! I seem to have lost my ability to cook, not that I was that great anyway! Hope things feel more cheery soon. Heather

    1. Hi Heather. Oh cooking all the time gets so dull. What does everybody want? Who likes this or that? Trying to think of something everyone will like is frustrating! Feel like a cafe owner in the school hols! x

  11. Hello, those sweet tatties look delish. Yum! I'm sorry to hear you're having a confidence crisis over your work - you are so talented! I love your stuff! And I grew up in a very complicated family (parts of it anyway). In fact it still is but in recent years I have chosen to remove myself from the messy stuff (but I know that isn't always possible). Big hugs, Col x
