Nearly a New Year

Typical in between Christmas activity today, a long walk!
We went on the train to Furness Vale and then walked along the canal to Disley before hopping back on the train home again. Morten LOVES the train for some reason.

In case I don't have time tomorrow, I want to wish you all a really Happy New Year and say how much I have enjoyed reading your blogs and comments this year.
Lots of love, Nick and Morten xxxx

P.S. not sure if it was really Chaz and Dave on the boat..... :)

52 weeks of happy (12/52)

Hi everyone, how are you doing?
Just a quick post to share my happies with you before I get back to doing nothing much :)

* Oh Nigel Slater's Kitchen Diaries II, how I love you. Thank you Jamie, you always know just what I like xx
* My new candle holder, a gift from a lovely friend. Thank you Sarah xx
* Eating a chocolate orange in one go.

No photograph here but I loved my Christmas dinner which was cooked by my Mum and I even enjoyed washing up with my sister and Dad!

And Relax.....

School has broken up and as I am lucky enough to be having Christmas dinner at my parents' house, we are able to just enjoy telly and food and the sofa!

It has been so wet here lately that Morten walks have involved lots of mud. This means bath time! He dried off in front of the fire.

Maisy has been making us proud yet again and was given a £5 shopping voucher and some pens for a project she completed. We never got things like that when I was at school! She rang her grandparents to tell them. Happy days!

I hope you are all managing to find some time to relax and enjoy Christmas.
Lots of love, Nick and Morten xx

52 Weeks of Happy (11/52)

My happy this week, a few simple things found in a week of rushing about....

* A beautiful advent calendar made for us by Maisy. It features the entire family, even the hamsters!

* My last order of the year complete.

* Our Christmas Day place settings also made by Maisy.

* The cress trees are growing....

How are you all? Ready for Christmas? I must have been asked that 20 times already this week. I am just ready to break up from school so we can relax all together. I am also ready for my Mum's Christmas dinner!

52 Weeks of Happy (10/52)

Busy, busy here so even more important to take a few moments to consider the simple, happy things in life.

* A beautiful and delicate brooch made for me by the lovely Bee. I love it!

* An amazing invention called a Post Carden...we are watering and waiting for the cress forest to appear!

* Rufus Wainwright in concert....amazing and extremely flamboyant!

* My growing collection of bulbs.

Have a great weekend...hope it's festive and not frantic
Love Nick xx

A Sprinkle of Snow

That was what we awoke to.....just a light dusting but enough for Morten to frolic in!

Sunday 9 December 2012

Nothing festive here!

It's too miserable light wise to take any good photos today so instead I give you my Saturday project.......

Have a good week lovely blog people, I hope you get all your jobs done!
Nick xx

Still here.....doing this!

Every year I look forward to wrapping the presents....

Every year I remember just how long it takes.......

I have had to take a break as Morten has sabotaged the process.

52 weeks of Happy (9/52)

I'm on it this week...it's only Monday and my happy is here! Think I might be going to peak to soon though, I've been manic today! Online shopping, delivering, making cards, washing, speed dog walking......it's all been happening. Anyway......

* Fabuland, does anyone remember it? It was made by Lego and had cute animals instead of people. This is the same set my sister and I played with for HOURS. My two have been playing with it all weekend.

* Some really nice postcards I found at the back of a drawer! Wondered where they got to last year.....

* A Snoopy snowglobe I have just bought for my Peanuts loving husband.

* My first card, my husband has very good taste when it comes to paper goods :)

I hope your weeks are off to a productive start too or that you are spending some quality time with the sofa if not xx

P.s. I will have a go at taking some pics around the house to show you but it will have to wait till I've cleaned!
