I have been drifting along for too long and this approach of Autumn has made me think I better sort a few things out work wise. Still no Etsy shop and no firm direction. Does anyone else have these problems?
Also I wanted to ask for help and advice about prints. What is the best way to produce them? Home copying or go to a printer? I get so confused and unsure that I end up doing little bits but nothing much. Got to get motivated before it is possible to make blackberry and apple crumble!
Oh my goodness, nearly crumble season already? I definitely have the same problems! Full of ideas and plans but daily life gets in the way, it all whizzes by so fast and nothing much in the way of progress seems to be achieved.
ReplyDeleteI don't need to have stuff printed at the moment (more plans and dreams!) but I have friends who are illustrators, from what I can tell it works out much more cost effective to get a good home printer, preferably A3 - especially if you hope to sell wholesale to shops and galleries.

Sorry, can't help with the shop/printing advice. My head is always full of plans and ideas with no real direction...I think it's the same for a lot of people.

I think we all experience this feeling of floating ... I have so many ideas and things I want to do but time seems to run away from me ... I love the autumn and am wishing that the routine of school again for the little ones will help tether me to some sort of timetable ... here's hoping anyway!

I've had the same printing dilemma and ended up using a printer. I think a good home printer won't be cheap so at the moment it is more cost effective to outsource the printing. Finding the right printing place, quality, paper etc took a long time though. Hopefully if the Etsy shop ever takes off I can invest in my home studio. Good luck! x
