New start

Yesterday I decided autumn was here (despite the sun) and started to sort out the garden. I bought heathers and pansies and swept up all the leaves, yes leaves ALREADY!!

I really enjoy a bit of pottering. I'm not very green fingered but I get pleasure from putting a few flowers by the front door.

Maisy started high school today and was happy so that is a weight off my mind. Just the boy to go back tomorrow and then that's it. Back in that hamster wheel....

  1. We have a few more days to go before the start of the school year. KP's school must be one of the last to go back! Maisy looks very smart in her uniform. I must remember to take a photo of KP in her new uniform.

  2. Spring has sprung over in my neck o the woods. I am looking forward to long warm days and eating in the garden at night. Your children look so lovely, I hope they have a great time back at school.

  5. Maisy is so pretty! I love your front door, it's gorgeous with all that stained glass. Like you, I'm not much of a gardener, but I do like to make the pots on the front steps look nice. Pansies will see us through autumn and winter. And the garden needs a tidy too - a job for the weekend! x

  6. It's feeling very autumnal here, and oddly noisier now than children are back at school ... I'd forgotten over the summer and all the wet-playtimes of the weeks before how easily the voices carry from the playground of the little village school, which as the crow flies isn't so far away.

Good luck to Maisie, she certainly looks ready for the challenge :D
