How Nice is This?

Just a quick post to show you what I bought today!
(Parkin in the oven as I write)

    Well, I do recognize the orange thing (!) but what's that tin next to it?

    1. Hello!
      This is a tin of treacle, it's dark and sticky and sweet, a bit like syrup but much darker. It's actually black in colour.
      You use it in things like ginger cake if that helps! Parkin is the traditional cake we have at this time of year, especially Bonfire night (5th November)

  6. I have that exact same tin in my cupboard and have been loving it! We're planning parkin baking here too - it's Yorkshire tradition to eat it on bonfire night, apparently! x
