Paint

Another Monday comes around and there is a lot to fit in before the kids break up on Friday.

I have wrapped up another family picture for delivery today and have started the HUGE canvases for the school music room project. Not quite sure how I will get them to school when they are done.....I only have a tiny Fiat!

Now I'm off to the post office and for a quick coffee before school pick up. Soren has a friend coming for tea. What do you make when they have pals over? I always do something kiddie ish, just in case. You never know what other children will like. Here it will be chicken dippers, potato waffles, peas and sweet corn. Predictable but always eaten!

  1. It is always difficult when other kids come for tea - like you I go for the usual pizza, pasta, fish fingers, chicken pieces etc. We had one girl for tea and she said she wanted fish fingers - they were duly cooked. She said I don't like them! She said she would like pizza - I showed her the pizza. She said she wanted it. I cooked it. She said she didn't want it! She has not been to tea again!
Good luck with the canvases and the Fiat!!!

    1. I like to think that my children would try to eat whatever was given to them even if they weren't keen. I am not surprised she wasn't invited back...how rude! X

  2. I'm the same, we have a sleepover here tonight! Chips and fish fingers! Keep things safe!
I love your picture! If ever I manage to sell enough on Etsy I'd like to get one done for my daughter, the artistic one! The one who never got that picture finished for you, might inspire her! Ada :)

  3. I love that picture, it's gorgeous! We tend to stick to the tried and tested pizzas, fish fingers, macaroni cheese etc, though we look after one of Max's friends every Monday and I started to worry that she was getting bored so last week we did a chicken stir fry with noodles, which went down very well - she even added chilli sauce! Nice to know some kids are a bit more adventurous. Good luck with those canvases, they look pretty enormous! xxx

  4. You are so talented! Macaroni cheese is a good play date option. We had a pal over tonight for pizza & garlic bread (at his request). Didn't touch it, preferring instead to take one bite out of the 6 apples also on the table. Grrrrr!

  5. That little picture is so sweet, I really like it. I almost always do fish fingers, chicken dippers or sausages when other kids come for tea, it's just so much easier that way! x

    1. Thanks Gillian. The chicken dippers were all eaten so it was a boring but correct choice! X

  6. Love the picture ... it's really lovely ... we stick with similiar on the food front ... so much easier ... I even find this with some of our adult visitors ... I have a few very unadventurous friends and family and spend ages creating menus to suit ... Bee xx
